Stiftspl. 7, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany
Katholische Gemeinde St. Lambertus
The three-aisled hall church, built in the Lower Rhine brick Gothic style, was founded in 1288, the year the city was elevated. Its current appearance is the result of a fire in 1815 that destroyed the spire. Presumably fresh, damp wood was used during the renovation, which is why the roof twisted. According to legend, however, the devil twisted the steeple when he tried to rip the church out. The new west portal from the 1950s is the work of the sculptor Ewald Mataré.

Kurze Straße 18-20, Düsseldorf, Germany
Brauerei Kürzer
The Kürzer Alt is produced in the headquarters of the Kürzer brewery on Kurze Straße in Düsseldorf's old town. Owner Hans-Peter Schwemin opened the brewery in 2010 and has since established himself with his finely malted Altbier.
The Kurzer brewery is the youngest house brewery in Düsseldorf and always wants to emphasize that. Old brewery traditions and new innovations come together here. The guests can watch the master brewer doing his craft because the brewing system is located directly in the back of the guest room.
